Masters has been in business since 1972 and actually started life as Masters
Refrigeration Service. The company incorporated in 1992 under the current
name of Masters Heating and Air Conditioning, Inc. The original office for Masters
was in Meriden on the dining room table of our vice president; moving to Wallingford
in 1988.
The three existing officers were, and still are, employees of the company; taking
over the controls in 1998.
- Thomas Dunkin, president, has been with the company for 19 years.
- Charles Bowlby, Sr., vice president, is one of the originators of the company.
- Christine Jarvis-Hay, secretary/treasurer, has been with the company for
18 years.
Masters Heating & Air Conditioning Inc. is fully insured for any project small
or large, participates in the State of Connecticut's apprenticeship program, and
is a member of The Connecticut Heating and Cooling Association as well as The Home
Builders Association.
Our mission is to achieve a safe as well as a comfortable home for all our customers.
The average person takes their heating system for granted, not realizing that it
must be serviced on a regular basis. One of our goals is to educate the consumer.
We advise them to have the heating unit and water heater serviced and maintained
at least once a year not only to prolong the life of the equipment, but; to protect
their familes. A poorly maintained system or faulty venting can lead to severe illness.
We also advise them to have their air conditioning systems maintained to achieve
optimum efficiency. (A very simple tip is to change the air filters at least every
three months)
And to please not hesitate to ask if a contractor is licensed and insured or request
references. Most reputable companies will be happy to supply any requested information,
in short don't be afraid to protect yourself and your familes.
All employees are licensed, registered with the State of Connecticut, and participate
in continuing educational programs. They offer a total of 100 years experience to
our customers; capable of installing heating & cooling systems for that dream
home, replacement of worn out equipment, plus maintenance and repair of existing
equipment for both residential and light commercial settings. With next to no staff
turnover, our employees function as a team creating a very efficient, time conserving
